I think this would be a great career to go into, mainly because i love animals and I've grown up with them. Another reason why I think this career path is worth following is that I hate to see animals that are sick or injured, and I think it would be an incredible feeling knowing I've helped an animal get better. Some of the negatives that would really get to me I think would be the long hours, though I think I could get used to it. But the part that I wouldn't do well with is the known fact that if you can't help an animal you have to put them down. I know it doesn't feel good at all when the pets your own, but still a life is a life.
Positives- Get to work with animals
- Is a growing field - Never boring - A lot of on-hand experience |
Negatives- Lower salary
- Chances of getting injured - Long hours - Euthanize animals |
After doing this research I think this would be a great field to go into if your an animal lover, both the pros and cons seem to be worth it if you are. Being bitten or scratched is just like if you have animals at home; and even if there is long hours, you could become accustomed to it. Another reason why you might want to go into this career is to see if you want to excel into a deeper field, like maybe becoming a veterinarian.
I think going into this field is a great way to test out if you would like to become a veterinarian in the future, it's a good way to test it out. I think is would be a great starting field to set your eyes on in the beginning and continue to travel up the ladder for an animal career. Keep this in mind if you are an animal lover and hope to incorporate that into your life in the future.
